He can't really say anything to that, so the first thing he does when he tugs Kevin out is pin him to a wall and kiss him senseless.

He murmurs.

"Don't be afraid."

He sounds resigned, tugging on a lock of Kevin's hair.

He just sounds sleepy now.

"Then sleep."

He's warm, and Jack presses close.

Kevin closes his eyes and drops off almost right away, safe again.

Jack lies awake for a long time, just lying there, before he finally calms down enough to doze off.

Kevin does not try to kill him in his sleep.

He does get nightmares, though.

Jack wakes up immediately and murmurs soothing nonsense; he'll wake him up if the nightmares seem too bad.

That settles him almost instantly. He does adore and trust him.

It - makes his chest clench, a little, being able to provide something like comfort.

It makes for easier dreams, and deeper sleep, when he goes under once again.
