He crushes himself against Jack's chest, face hiding in the crook of his shoulder.

"Did I hurt you?"

He's so very tempted to say yes.

"Even if you did, I wouldn't care."

Even that's close enough to one that he jerks back, tearstained face registering fright.

"Jill?"

"What?"

He links his hands behind Kevin's back.

"No, you didn't hurt me. You're amazing, snow rabbit."

"But someone else did."

He murmurs, settling close again.

"And I hate them."

"...it doesn't matter," he murmurs, tangling his legs with the other's. "Hate doesn't make anything better."

He decides, trying to paw at his eyes again.

Jack's - stunned speechless, really, and it takes a few moments to set in before he takes Kevin's wrists and tries to still his hands.

He glances up, alarmed.

"You're so weird."

He's confused. And blushing, but that's beside the point.

"No I'm not."

He flushes. He's still a little destroyed- lips chapped and red, chin stained.

"Sorry."

He flushes back, curling up and burying his face in Kevin's hair, tucking him under his chin.

"Let me sleep in your bed tonight?"

He asks, quietly.

"...do you snore?"

He asks, weakly, holding him like a child seeking comfort from a teddy bear.

"I don't know. No one has ever told me."

He stays close.

"Well, I'll tell you in the morning, then."

So yes, he's staying, he doesn't have a choice about it.

"I'll kick you if you do," he teases, absently dropping a kiss on his forehead.

He snuggles against him.

"...and no killing me in my sleep."

He says, hand tightening briefly around Kevin's shoulders. "That's...usually why I never stay."

He murmurs.

"Don't be afraid."

He sounds resigned, tugging on a lock of Kevin's hair.

He just sounds sleepy now.

He's warm, and Jack presses close.

Kevin closes his eyes and drops off almost right away, safe again.
